Understanding the different types of Orgasms

Understanding the different types of Orgasms

If you are a vulva owner, then you will know that, no two orgasms are quite the same. They come in many different waves, sensations and vibrations. However there are certain characteristics that can help you distinguish the different types of orgasms.

If you have a vulva, your orgasm can differ from a penis orgasm in various ways, the largest being duration. A penis orgasm lasts between 3-10 seconds, while if you have a vulva, your orgasm could last longer than 20 seconds.

While the purpose of a penis orgasm is fairly obvious, to produce semen and reproduce, the vulva orgasms are thought to have no true evolutionary function, rather are a relic of an ancient adaptation to induce ovulation.

While this is by no means a complete guide to all the different types of orgasms available to you, these are the 3 types generally experienced via vulva and vaginal stimulation.

Understanding the different types of orgasms

A clitoral orgasm has a definitive build, a clear climax with pelvic contractions, and then a feeling of descent. This orgasm is similar to a penile orgasm.

A G-spot orgasm located 1-2 inches inside the vagina, on the front wall (so towards your bellybutton, not your spine). Some people report they have a patch of tissue there about the size of a bottle lid that feels rougher or puffier than the surrounding flesh, especially when they’re turned on.

Again, there’s been many a heated debate about the G-spot as a hot spot: there’s considerable doubt as to whether it exists as a true anatomic structure, although many specialists now believe that rubbing, pressing or otherwise stimulating this area targets those internal, buried parts of the clitoris – which explains why this zone feels so good to many people.

A cervical orgasm is more along the lines of what we call a "full-body orgasm," or an expanded orgasm. Meaning, the build is less linear. While there is an increase of pleasure, rather than it being focused in the clitoris, you feel that spread all over your body and then explode into waves you feel from your head to your toes. This can feel like pleasurable tingling and vibrations throughout your whole body and being, and can keep going for hours, as opposed to a clitoral orgasm, which typically lasts for seconds.
If the clitoris is like climbing a mountain, the cervix (and the G-spot for that matter) is like scaling a series of rolling hills. You get to the top of one, then you have a brief plateau, then you climb another, then have a plateau, etc.

The cervix is the reflexology point for the heart. Stimulating it will cause very intense feelings of love and spiritual transcendence. Every cell in your being feels cleansed and revitalised. You feel like you are floating and in extreme bliss. The effects of it can last for hours and even days.
